About the Data Portal
This data portal provides access to results from the 2022 Missouri County-Level Study. Data may be accessed using the reporting interface and the Map Room. Create a report for one or more counties, cities, health districts or regions to find data for select questions from the CLS. Data may be viewed as age-adjusted or crude prevalence rates. Data are available for population subgroups when supported by survey sample size.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services collaborates with the University of Missouri Center for Applied Research and Engagement Systems (CARES) to produce the data portal and data portal tools.

About the Survey
Approximately 50,000 Missouri adults were randomly called to participate in the 2022 Missouri County-level Study (CLS). The 2022 CLS expanded upon data from previous studies conducted in 2007, 2011 and 2016.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services collaborated with the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) Health and Behavioral Risk Research Center to conduct the CLS. Trained interviewers from MU called landline and cell phone numbers throughout 2022. Weekday calls occurred between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., while weekend calls began later and ended earlier.
The 2022 CLS produced prevalence estimates for all 114 Missouri counties and the City of St. Louis. A minimum of 300 interviews were conducted in most counties. A greater number of interviews were conducted in select counties (e.g., Boone, Buchanan, Clay, Cole, Greene, Jackson, Jasper, St. Charles, St. Louis and the City of St. Louis) so that comparisons of health status and health-related behaviors by race/ethnicity and rural/urban residence could be made.
